A Great Kisser from Soap&Glory..............

If you have been following my blog for a while, you will be well aware that I am a complete lip balm addict.
I don't know what it is but i'm just drawn to them like a moth to a flame.

So all that said, I have a lip balm to share with you today.
I rediscovered this in my makeup bag recently when searching around in the depths.
I am talking about A Great Kisser from Soap&Glory in the delicious fragrance Juicy Peach.

When I bought this several months ago, it was the smell that dragged me in, it smells delicious. You you remember the sweets called Spanish Peaches? It smells just like them, amazing.

As well as smelling divine, it is also a great moisturizer, leaving my lips soft and ready for what ever lip colour I may throw at them.
It doesn't feel heavy or sticky and also looks pretty worn alone. Its not as thick in appearance on the lips as say Vaseline.

I'm pleased I have rediscovered this tasty lil pot of goodness.
At £5.00 it is more than some people would like to pay for a lip balm I know. For me however, the way this product looks on my lips alone, the moisturizing properties and the smell, would and will make me part with my money again.

What do you think?
Is £5 too much for a lip balm?

Arch De Triumph................

As a massive Soap&Glory fan, I decided to try out there brow pencil when my old faithful had seen better days.
Arch De Triumph comes in a single shade, Taupe/Buff and is complete with a highlighting pencil at the other end.

The texture of this pencil is quite different to what I had expected, It almost has a waxy texture to it. I think this is what makes it long lasting and natural looking. The brow shade is buildable so those with both darker and fairer brows would be able to use this.

The highlight shade is a soft crayon that gives super pigmented colour.
Below are some tips that Soap&Glory recommend when using the highlighter.

I have also used the highlighter as a eye shadow base, inner eye highlight and above my cupids bow.
The highlight shade may not be as suitable for those with with darker skin tones, it does blend beautifully tho so I would still recommend trying it, if only as a inner eye highlight or shadow base.

The pencil is one of the jumbo sizes and so needs a large sharpener, just a tip so you don't get caught out.....
I do think that I will run out of the brow pencil long before the highlighter as I like to keep a good point for my brows to keep them looking light.

The pencil costs £8 and is available from selected branches of Boots and On line, to see more about Soap&Glory cosmetics you can visit there web site.

Once again, Soap&Glory have won my heart.

Kick Ass Concealer from Soap&Glory................

Concealer seems to be an item that I am always looking for, I simply cant find a holy grail one that works for me.
I have tried both high end and drug store concealers, and admittedly some of them have been OK, but nothing has blown me away.
So because of this, I bough the Kick Ass Concealer from Soap&Glory a few weeks ago. Firstly because I am still looking for my holy grail, secondly because I have had great results with 99% of the Soap&Glory range.

What initially attracted me to this concealer is that it comes with two shades, one for blemishes, the other for under eye darkness. Added to this the compact also has a handy setting powder with a cute little mirror.

I have been using this now for a few weeks ( I took the pic's when I first picked it up so it didn't look all messy for you, lol).
My first impressions are all good. I am in the Medium shade palette.
The eye brightening side of the concealer ( left side) does indeed brighten the eye and take away the dreaded darkness I have under my eyes. It has a great texture, lovely and creamy, and blended well and set will last without creasing through out the day.
The right side of the compact offers a fantastic light diffusing concealer that really does cover up blemishes. It doesn't leave a dry look to any blemishes and again, if set will last well through out the day. I did find that I needed to just top up lightly where I may of touched my face.

The translucent powder in this little compact is genius, I have also used it on my T zone when I'm in a rush, its so handy with the mirror and doesn't take up to much room in your purse/hand bag. Its a great all round powder.

At £10.00 this is pretty good value.
I am curious to see how it will hold up in the warmer weather. So far so good, lets see if this will become my Holy Grail concealer??????

Soap&Glory Cosmetics are available from selected branches of Boots and On Line.

What are your holy grail concealers??

Soap&Glory The Fab Pore Hot Cloth Cleanser..........

I think I am one of the last people to of tried a hot cloth cleanser. It has been years since I  used a wash of cleanser to remove my makeup. When I was shopping in Boots ( about 3 weeks ago ) I saw this by Soap&Glory.

As I have been lucky with the Soap&Glory products I have tried, I decided to give this a go.

The cleanser comes with a muslin face cloth to maximise the results. It does help that the cloth has pink trimming so it looks cute in the bathroom too!!
I have waited till now to share this with you as I wanted to give the cleanser a fair trial.

The Fab Pore Cleanser is a 3 in 1 concentrated formula that promises to deep purify. It has panthenol, sweet almond, orange and lavender oils to leave your skin feeling soft and comfortable.
Once you have massaged the cleanser onto your face ( Soap&Glory recommend 60 seconds) you remove it with a warm, wet muslin cloth.

Well what can I say but this..........

I LOVE IT!!!

I have never used a muslin cloth before and have found that I love the way it leaves my skin feeling. Add this to the Soap&Glory Fab Pore Cleanser and I have a match made in heaven.
After getting home from Vegas I found that I have had some annoying breakouts on my cheeks that just wouldn't budge. Thanks to this cleanser in just a week they cleared dramatically.
My skin is softer than it has been in a long long time and feels incredibly smooth.

I cant believe that I have been missing out on the muslin cloth trend for so long!!!

The Fab Pore Hot Cloth Cleanser is priced at £10 for 100ml.

It is available from all good branches of Boots both in store and On Line. Its also on 3 for 2 at the moment, bargain!!!

Have you tried this cleanser out yet???

Hello my name is Maria and I am addicted to all things Soap&Glory.

You probably already know this about me if you have been following my blog for a while. I have been really lucky and have found that most of the things I have tried work really well for me.
One of the things I love most about Soap&Glory is the gorgeous fragrance.

Lucky for me they bottle it!!!!!!

This is Original Pink by Soap&Glory. It is there original signature fragrance and in my opinion totally GORGEOUS!!!!!

Now I am hideous at describing scents so let me share with you Soap&Glory's description.

Made with our Original Pink fragrance, a fresh fruity citrus with notes of bergamot, summer rose, peach, strawberry, gardenia blooms, jasmine, patchouli warm amber and lush musks.
Since I bought this it has become my go to spring fragrance. Its delicious and has great staying power. If like me you are a fan of the Righteous Butter and The Scrub Of Your Life amongst them then this fragrance is for you!!

Its comes in one size a 50ml and costs £16.50.

Like all Soap&Glory it is available from Boots both in store and online.

Have you tried this scent, what do you think??

February Favourites.............

I didn't post a favourites at the end of January as there really wasn't any stand out products of the month for me.
I'm glad to say the February has been totally different, I have re found the love for some previous favourites as well as finding some new loves.

Its a real mixed bunch don't you think?

Makeup
L to R
NARS Galapagos Eye shadow This shadow is by far y favourite brown EVER!! A bold statement I know, but so very true. A holy grail product for me.
MAC Fix +  This is one of my rediscoveries this month, I have enjoyed using this over my finished makeup to give a long lasting finish. Its also fab for freshens up on the go.
MAC Studio Fix Fluid This is my only MAC foundation and I must admit, Ive never been that impressed, however this month for some reason, I'm totally loving it. This shade is NW35 and can be a little dark for me in the winter months so I do blend it down my neck. Its just worked brilliantly for me this month.
FashionistA LipGlaze in  Pretty In Pink. I did a full review of this gloss earlier in the month. I am really impressed with them and love the long lasting glossy finish.
MAC Paint Pot In Morning Frost  This is from the Glitter & Ice Christmas collection and is such a pretty Taupe shade. I have just grabbed this as it is super quick and easy and gives a lovely looking finish.
MAC Mineralise Skinfinish in Soft&Gentle The perfect champagne highlight for my dry winter skin.
Soap&Glory Lid Stuff Whats Nude For super quick and easy natural smoky eyes on those rushed mornings.
Soap&Glory Mighty Mouth Lipbalm I have really enjoyed this lip balm. Its a fantastic balm to have in your bag, no messy fingers or worrying about your fingers putting dirt into the balm. A fab product that is also a great lip gloss.
Marshmallow Blends Strawberry&Champagne Lip butter This has become my Lip Butter of choice when I'm at home. I use it religiously before bed and several times through out the day. Smells Divine and leaves my lips super soft and smooth.

Nails

OPI Sweetheart For me the perfect Nude shade, I love how this looks on my nails. It is opaque enough that you get colour pay off . Simply beautiful and perfect for my now short nails from the 3 recent breaks I have had.

Brushes

Real Techniques Buffing Brush I haven't had this very long but since I got it, it has become my brush of choice for both liquid foundation and my MAC MSF powder. I love the soft bristles and how gentle they feel on my skin. I will be doing a full review of my Real Technique Brushes in the next couple of weeks.
MAC 217 If I could only have one eye shadow brush, this would be it. I find the 217 super versatile, from packing on lid colour to defining my crease or putting in my highlight, this brush can do it all!!!!
Sigma E05 Liner Brush  This is the easiest liner brush in the world. I find it had to make a mistake with this brush, it feels secure and stable unlike some other liner brushes. Its also the favourite liner brush of YouTube Beauty Guru Michele1218. If you haven't already check out her channel, please do!!!

Hair

VO5 Miracle Concentrate I have raved over this stuff more than once and wont bore you with it, to see more I have a full post here.
Wella Enrich Bouncy Foam I have been using this light weight non sticky foam in my hair before rough drying with a hair dryer. I find that it gives my hair a slept in look and some great volume without any reside or stickiness. My hair has a slight kink but usually if I use a hair dryer it will dry straight. I am enjoying using this as I am trying to cut down on the heat I use on my hair and this gives my hair a great look with no heat. Its a win win for me.
Wella Enrich Moisturising Treatment I have also done a full post on this gorgeous treatment. You can find the post here.

Face and Body Skincare

St Tropez Everyday Moisturiser for Face This is one of the best self tanning products that I have ever used on my face. It doesn't break me out, turn me orange or wear horridly. What you get is a beautiful sun kissed glow that you can build up or use less frequently. I loved this all last spring and summer and I have the feeling, I'm going to love it all this year too!!!
Soap&Glory Righteous Butter This has been my go to body moisturiser since I discovered it. It si by far one of the best body butters around, it leaves my skin soft without feeling heavy or weighed down like some others can. It has the beautiful signature Soap&Glory Pink scent. Loveeeee it!!!

I know this has been a long post, thank you for sticking with it!!

What have you been loving this February?

Soap&Glory Mighty Mouth Lip Balm...................

If you have seen some of my more recent posts you will remember that I have been suffering with very dry skin and lips this winter. All the chopping and changing of mild and cold weather with snow thrown in for good measure has left me searching for my ultimate lip balms and moisturisers.

Today I want to share with you the fabulous Mighty Mouth Lip Balm from Soap&Glory.

As well as being a Lip Balm, Mighty Mouth has XLarge Collagen Plump Peptide Complex to give your lips a plumping effect.
The balm itself has over 70% moisturising ingredients and promises to be hydrate your lips, leaving them soft and comfortable. It has a soft pink tint to the gloss and comes in a hygienic squeeze tube applicator ( my fave!! So quick, clean and easy!!)

One of my favourite things about this balm is that it doesn't have a sticky texture on the lips, I find that it feels more creamy, almost like a lipstick.
I love the feeling of this balm, it lasts beautifully and has a delicate vanilla smell that isn't over powering when its on. This has become my go to lip Balm at the moment as I get the glossy look of a lip gloss, the texture of a creamy lip stick and the nourishment of a fantastic Lip Balm.

The Balm costs £8.00 and is available from Boots both instore and On line.

To find out more don't forget to check the fab Soap&Glory.com

Well done Soap&Glory, you have won my heart again!!!

My Valentines FOTD..................

I wanted to do a FOTD post for Valentines as it has been a while since my last one.
I tweeted and asked what you would like to see, One of the requests made by Laura was for a classic red lip.

So here we are...

I have been having skin woes lately so I aimed to get as much of a flawless complexion as possible to complete the look.

Soap&Glory The Righteous Butter....................

In this colder weather I have really been struggling with dry skin both on my face and body.
I decided that I needed to invest in a good body butter and decided to try one from my favourite skincare brand Soap&Glory.

The Righteous Butter

I decided that I would get the travel size as I have been rather unlucky with body butters in the past.
I really shouldn't of worried, this is AMAZING!!!!!

Righteous Butter has a blend of Shea Butter and Aloe Vera that leave the skin feeling soft and moisturised without that heavy feeling that other body butters leave behind. You skin just feels soft, smooth and very comfortable, gone is that horrid winter time skin tightness.
I also love, Love, Love the fragrance of the butter, smells divine. I believe that its the Original Pink by Soap&Glory.

The regular size 300ml costs £10.21 and is available from Boots.

At the moment there is a limited edition Deluxe 1 litre Jar for the bargain price of £25.00, amazing when you think you are getting over 3 times the amount of the standard jar!!
Guess what I'm getting!!!!
For more about Soap&Glory follow the link.

Have you found your ideal body Butter yet???
