Khroma Au Naturel, In The Nude Lip kit.............

Unless you live under a rock, you will be well aware of the Khroma range of cosmetics from the Kardashians.

I must admit I do like the look of the palettes, but the simple truth is that I just don't need any more shadow palettes, If I could swatch them before I bought them then I may be more likely to try one, but from looking at swatches on line, I'm not going to take the plunge.

Something I did like the look of and pick up though is the Kim Ultra Nude lip set.

The set has a double ended lipstick/liner and a matching lip gloss.

The double ended has a light Vanilla scent, very similar to that of a Mac lip stick. The lip liner is soft and yet firm enough that it doesn't turn into mush when you apply it.
The lipstick has a creamy texture and slight sheen, it feels nice on the lips and quite moisturizing.

The Lipgloss in the set is what I assume to be fragrance free, its not terrible, but at the same time isn't pleasant  It reminds me smell wise of a Clinique lip gloss.
It has a light texture and isnt at all sticky. Even with the odd smell, I really like the texture and look of this gloss.

A nude lip is something that I personally struggle with.

I hate the look of full on concealer lips. A nude lip is something that I always think looks beautiful on others, I just dont feel it really suits me.

I really love the look that this lip set gives and I hope that it will help me to embrace all things nude!! lol.

I got my set fromCloud10 beauty a web site I have used several times, they are great!!
Its cost's £14.95.

So are you a lover of a nude lip?

Will you try this?

Guest Post by Jazzabelle, Pink lips galore.........

Hi Everyone!! Hope you are all having a fantastic weekend!!

I have a guest post for you today from the lovely Jazmine who writes Jazzabelled a fab lifestyle blog sharing all sorts of great posts from Whats in My Bag posts, Weight loss diary's, health issues and all the way to film and TV recommendations for the summer ( I'm looking forward to Ironman 3 too Jazz!!).

I'm so great full to Jazmine for writing this post for us, I hope you all enjoy, please check out her great blog!!xxxxx

Hi everyone! Maria has been kind enough to let me write a guest post on her blog which I have been following pretty much from day one. Although I write about everyday and life in general I thought seeing as this blog is mainly beauty related I shall keep my post to your interests.

L-R : YSL Rouge Pur Couture (Shade 49), 17 Lasting Fix Lipstick (Pink Power), Rimmel London Apocalips (Apocaliptic), Primark Lip Stain Pen (No Shade)

As an extreme girly girl, pink is without a doubt my favourite colour and 90% of the time this is reflected in the colour I wear on my lips. I have noticed recently that more and more people are wearing pink lips in the blogging world and also on YouTube. I thought as it is becoming an increasingly popular trend, I would share with you my top 4 current pink lips products.

YSL Rouge Pur Couture

I have had this YSL lipstick for a good couple of years now and I always come back to it as I love the colour. It is a pink colour with purple undertones. I love the creamy formula of the lipstick and it applies really well. It also lasts ages and I usually get a good 3 hours from it before it needs a touch up. I bought this from a shop called Charlie's in Lanzarote for 15 Euros but here in the UK they retail for around £23.

17 Lasting Fix Lipstick

17 is a brand I rarely buy from but I have been encouraged to try more things by this lipstick. I own another Lasting Fix Lipstick in Shell and it has been a trusty favourite of mine for a while, usually for nights out.
I was on a hunt for a bright pink lipstick on a recent shopping trip and came across this one in Boots. I am in love with the colour as it isn't too dark and it has just the right amount of pink. The lipstick stays on very well and lasts a good few hours and a little of the colour remains even after eating. At around £4.99 it is so worth it and like I said it has urged me to try other products in the 17 range.

Rimmel London Apocalips

This has also been a recent purchase and I am sitting on the fence as to whether I am a fan of this or not. There has been loads of hype over these in blogs and on YouTube of late and I am not 100% sold. I love the smell of them first of all they smell almost fruity.
For a highly pigmented gloss the colour pay off is amazing however I find they are messy. Sometimes the colour can get on my teeth and they never dry being a gloss so I feel I am constantly checking my face for bright pink spots all over my face. They retail at £5.99 and although I am on the fence I would say they are worth a purchase.

Primark Lip Stain Pen

Finally a disappointing packaging design for an all round good product. This Lip Stain Pen I picked up from Primark for an unbelievable £1.50. I thought I would give it a go seeing as I wasn't wasting too much if I didn't like it. So I got home, took the lid off and it exploded EVERYWHERE (You may even be able to see on the picture of it that even when taking the lid off it leaked a bit).
This wasted a lot of the actual stain so now I probably have two thirds of the actual product left which wasn't a brilliant start. The colour however I do like and although it doesn't have great longevity, for the price you can afford to reapply more than you would a higher end similar product. A good product but one that reminds me of one of those fountain pens you had at school ... forever leaking!

So there we have it, my round up of my current 4 fave lip products!!

What are yours? Let me know in the comments below!!

Loreal Caresse my 1st Impressions...............

I don't know about you but I for one was super excited when I first heard about the Loreal Caresse's hitting the shelves.
They had been promise to be the drugstore equivalent of my much loved YSL Glossy Stains.

Top To Bottom
Marilyn (103), Romy (102), Lolita (101)

When I saw that Superdrug had a 3 for 2 on all Loreal products, I had a little swatch and picked my 3 favorites.
The range had about 7 or 8 colors in total ranging from nude all the way to red.

I picked a bright pink ( Marilyn), a coral toned pink with gold sparkle (Romy) and a pretty nude shade called Lolita.

My first impressions were good, a nice selection of basic colors, a good price ( £7.99) and beautiful packaging.

No, since getting these babies home and having a play, I have to say that I am on the fence.
The above picture shows you clearly the colors, you can also see that they are a little on the watery side.
I have used them all a couple of times each now, and in all honesty, when I have them on my lips, they all look the same. I don't know if it is the staining agent in the formula that just sticks to my lips and shows through or just a fluke.
I cant really see similarity between the shades in the tube, but on my lip that's a whole other story

I have only managed to get lip swatches of Marilyn so far, I will take pictures of the others in the day light to share with you in a week or so in a follow up post.

I want to give the Caresses a fair trial, and believe me I want to love them, so far tho, Im not sure.....

Have you had this issue? Is it just me?

MUA Intense Kisses Lip Gloss................

As you will know I fell in love with lipstick in a big way back in 2011 and 2012 was no different.
This meant that glosses have been something I have put on the back burner and forgotten about for the most part with a few exceptions.

That was until MUA launched the Intense Kisses glosses last year.
They are super pigmented and very long lasting for a gloss. I love that they give opaque colour to the lips, almost like a liquid lipstick, on top of all that, they also smell delicious.

There are 7 shades to pick from in the range, I didn't take the plunge with the bright red shade, as I personally prefer matte reds.

I truly am blow away by this range, there is a great choice and really is something for everyone!
There is every shade from a orange, candy pink all the way to a deep vampy red.

L To R
Smooch, Stolen Kisses, Kiss and Tell, Sweet Nothing, Lips are Sealed and Sealed with a Kiss.

Of the above shades, Lips are Sealed is my favourite  its a great everyday pink that suits everyone, it goes with all looks from a natural eye all the way to a full on smokey. This has become a holy grail for me, I adore this shade, I actually have two of them, one lives permanently in my handbag as it is an ideal shade to grab on the go!!

My lease favourite of the collection is Smooth, and this surprises me as it is the only shade with a touch of sparkle. My reason is simply that it is a little too sheer for my preference, it gives a slight was of colour where as the rest of the range give more of a liquid lipstick look that I love.

I'm sure a lot of you out there will and do love this shade, its just not for me.

If I had to blind test these glosses, I would without a doubt say that they are far more expensive than there £2 price tag. They offer everything we expect from high end brands such as MAC, Dior and Lancome to name but a few. They really are fab!!!

You can get hold of MUA from selected branches of Superdrug or from MUA online.

So even if you like me are more of a lip stick girl, try these out, i'm sure that you wont regret it!!!

Ysl Rouge Volupte and Glossy Stain........

Happy Tuesday everyone!!!
Hope that the start of your week has been fab so far!!
Today I have for you two lip products that I picked up last month from YSL with some of my beauty card points.

Its a new Rouge Volupte in No8 and one of there beautiful Glossy Stains in no 14.

I picked these colors as I wanted colors for the Autumn/Winter that were more rosy toned, kind of my lips but better, i'm pleased with my choices.

No 14 Glossy Stain is the brighter of the two, having worn this a few times, it comes off a little redder on me. When I took these pictures, my lips were already stained from another lippy so I couldn't do a swatch for you. Ill def get one up in the next few days.

Rouge Volupte No 8 is simply beautiful, its the perfect rosy shade for my skin tone, I also find this one to be more creamy in texture than my Lingerie Pink.  This shade is on the Christmas collection display, its not a limited edition tho, just a re promote.

No 14 and No 8

These to shades also work beautifully together, I popped a little of the glossy stain on top the other day and loved it!

I love spending my beauty points on items that I would normally not buy, and as much as I adore the YSL lipsticks, I grudge £22 ish on a lippy.

What do you like to treat yourself to with Beauty Points or Advantage card points??

YSL Glossy Stain, shade 17.......

If you have been following my blog or watching my YouTube videos, You will know that I have been loving this YSL Glossy stain ever since I picked it up.

I decided that it was high time that I shared it with you.

At first I wasn't sure about the hype surrounding these glossy stains, needless to say I'm a total convert and completely get it.

As well as the usual stunning packaging that is the usual we expect from YSL, these really do deliver on all fronts.

They have a doe foot applicator that deposits the right amount of product, leaving you with glossy lips that are not sticky or overly tacky. The gloss also tints the lips and leaves a long lasting stain that doesn't dry out the lips or leave them feeling tight.

These really do feel expensive, with a price tag of £22.50 they are on the top end of what I would personally pay for a lip product, I would not hesitate to spend that again on these tho.
They are fantastic value as they are so long lasting, they also smell AMAZING!!!!

I have shade 17, a pretty fuchsia pink

Have you tried these out yet? Were you hesitant like me?
What do you think?

My first Bare Minerals and a new Buxom Gloss...................

As a dedicated lover of all things beauty and makeup related, I am a little embarrassed to admit that I have never tried anything from Bare Minerals.
When I was in Brighton a couple of months ago, I visited the Brighton Bare Minerals Boutique.
I initially went in to have a look at the 'Ready To Wear' Collection.

Although there were some beautiful colours in the collection, I settled on 2 of the original mineral powder shadows. I also picked up another of the Buxom Lip glosses.

Starting with the gloss, I choose the shade Tonya, a beautiful bright coral pink shade.
I have one of the Buxom glosses already, and they are bar far one of my all time favourite lip glosses EVER!! lol, a bold statement I know, but I really do love these glosses.
They offer a plumping action in addition to gorgeous colour pay off and long wear time.

Tonya

Next on to the shadows. I chose two shades, One the most popular shade that Bare Minerals make ( The lovely consultant told me this, lol) and the 2nd a beautiful summery colour that I couldn't resist

Nude Beach and Chameleon

Nude beach is such a pretty colour, I can totally see why its such a popular colour, its a lovely champagne beige shade with delicate shimmer. I can not believe the texture of the shadows, they are so soft to use and milled beautifully.

Next is Chameleon, a blue/green/gold shade. The name describes this colour perfectly. Its a real chameleon of a colour, it changes in both the light and varies depending what colours you pare it with. It really is a beautiful colour.

I have wore these eye shadows a couple of times and am enjoying experimenting with them. I find that they wear really nicely through the day and don't crease.
The shadows are £14 each, I think that this price is very reasonable as looking at the quantity of product you get, they are going to last for a long long time.

You can buy Bare Minerals at selected department stores, In Bare Minerals Boutiques and On line direct.

Do you have any recommendations for me from Bare Minerals?
What do you think I should try next?

Barry M Lipgloss, my new additions....

A brand I hear a fair bit of chit chat about in the blog world is Barry M.
Mostly it is about there nail paints or glitter dust, both items that I have tried and enjoyed over the years.

Another thing I have heard alot about but never tried is there Lip Gloss.
I don't know why but these have just passed me by without me noticing. I am a fan of there fab jumbo lip pencils so I decided that I should pick a couple up to try.

When I saw these two bubblegum pastel shades it had to be done.

No 5 and No 11

I choose these two colours because as well as looking pretty and giving the lips a hint of colour they also work well over lipstick.

No 5 is a milky barbie pink cream. Its so so pretty. The fragrance is delicate and not at all overpowering. These glosses are not to sticky, this does mean you need to reapply more frequently but then that goes for all glosses.

No 11 is a true peach shade, again super pretty. This is a great shade to mute down a more vibrant coral or orange but also works fantastic over peach shades such as Barry M 147 ( I think its 147 lol).

All in all I am really pleased with these glosses.
Most of the other shades don't really grab me so if you have a recommendation please let me know!!!

What are your favourite lip glosses???

Maybelline Superstay 10H Tint Gloss...............

I want to share with you the new 10H Tint Glosses from Maybelline.
I spotted these in my local Superdrug the other day and couldn't resist picking them up, mostly because these remind me so so much of the Glossy Stains everyone is talking about from YSL.

I picked up two in the shades Forever Coral and Forever Fuchsia.

They have a really lovely smell, somewhere between sweets and bubble gum. Its not at all over powering, I really like it. The applicator wand is slightly rounded and flat. It isn't to big and makes applying the Tint Gloss really easy and surprisingly precise.

The texture of the tint is a lot more creamy than I thought it would be and feels really comfortable on my lips. I wore this all day yesterday at work and found that the colour lasts as the tint gives a pretty stain to the lips. The glossy finish was also very long wearing.

Forever Coral and Forever Fuchsia

I really am very impressed with these Tint Glosses.
I found my lips to be comfortable and moisturised all day. Add this to the convenience of long lasting colour and its a winner all round.

I haven't had the opportunity to try the YSL glossy stains, but with these I'm not sure its something I really need to try out now.

These cost me £6.99 and are available from your local Drug store.

Have you tried these yet?

What do you think??

MAC Impassioned in a gloss, Love it.............

When MAC released that there were releasing Impassioned as a limited edition Lip Glass, I knew that it was on my hit list.

Impassioned is one of my favourite lipsticks. I love the Amplified finish that it offers and the long lasting colour. For me it is the perfect hot red pink.

If you don think that you are brave enough for the full on Amplified finish then why not try the gloss.
It has all the power of the colour with a little bit more of a subtle finish. Although opaque, this gloss can be sheared out for a gentle wash of colour.

I personally have been wearing the gloss over the lippy for that extra pow, lol.

This is a definite classic for me.

Have you tried this colour???
Are you Impassioned?????

Chanel Heaven............

I had a gift voucher from Debenham's that I had been hanging on to for a little while. When I popped over Brighton a few weeks back, I decided that it was time to use my voucher :)

I wanted to get some bits from Chanel as I don't have a counter in my local town.
Here is what I picked up.

I'llusion D'Ombre in Illusoire

I have wanted to try one of these gorgeous shadows forever. This taupe shade is super pretty with lovely sparkle. I cant wait to try this out.

Rouge Coco Shine in Sourire

Another item that has been much talked about in the blogging world. This is a soft sheer peach with gold sparkle. Very delicate and pretty.

Glossimer in Jalousie

I saw this colour and just fell in love. This is my first Chanel Glossimer and it really is love.

Soleil Tan De Chanel

This is a repurchase for me, I had this a few years ago and didn't replace it when it ran out. I decided that it was time to reinvest in this cult classic.

Chanel is such a luxury brand that I am very excited to have been able to pick these items up. It was also a bonus points even so I have some extra points on my beauty card. It was an extra 500 for every £40 you spent, so I got an extra 1000 the equivalent of £10.00.

I am so excited :)

What items are on your wish list??
