UK/US Beauty Swap with Her Late Night Cravings

Hey Everyone!! H|ow are you all doing? Great I hope! Haven't we been lucky with the weather here the last few days in the UK, I hope that you are all getting a chance to enjoy the sunshine.

Enough about the weather, on to today's post.  I have been lucky enough to take part in a beauty swap with the beautiful ladies, Jayme & Mendi over at Her Late Night Cravings.

Now these two girls are amazing!! Their videos and blog posts always brighten up my day, and it was them that made me brave enough to take the YouTube plunge a year ago.

So a couple of months ago, we started emailing and chatting about doing a beauty swap, like the girls, I cant remember how it came up, but I am so so pleased it did. I have loved the whole process of chatting, getting to know the ladies, shopping for them and finally sending and receiving parcels.

Our boxes arrived last week ( I was so excited when I came home to it on Thursday!!) We both decided to film unboxing videos, it was seriously like Christmas. I was so lucky, the girls picked out beautiful items for me that we can not get here in the UK, and if you watch my video, you will see, I was more than a little excited!!lol.

I really can not say thank you enough to you both, I am so lucky to of made friends with you beautiful ladies and had the chance to do this with you :)

Please if you are not already subscribed ( Im sure you are!!) check out Jayme and Mendi's YouTube Channel Here. Seriously, you will love them!!

Also If you would like to see what I picked out for them, please follow the link below....

Happy Hump day everyone!!!

Its scary, I don't know where the year is going!!! I cant believe that we are in April already and its time for March favourites already.

I will warn you now, I have alot of favourites this month, mainly down to my holiday. This is also a pic heavy post.

Here we go....

See what I mean....ALOT!!!

FACE

MAC Gold Deposit Mineralise Skin Finish
MAC Marine Life Beauty Powder
Loreal MagiLumi
Makeup Forever HD Foundation
Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer
MAC Fix+
Milani Terra Sole Powder Blush
ELF Stipple Brush

Most of these you have seen before in my monthly favourites. The HD Foundation and MagiLumi both have reviews coming very soon.

LIPS

Soap&Glory Mighty Mouth
MAC Angel
MAC Vegas Volt
MAC Girl About Town

I have been loving bright lips this month. Girl about town was a purchase from my holiday and I have worn it nearly every day since I got it. Its amazing!!!
I wore Angel for my wedding as its pretty much my favourite lipstick ever. Mighty mouth made sure that my lips have stayed soft and smooth all month long.

EYES

Wet'N'Wild Brulee
Fairy Drops Platinum Mascara
My personalised MAC palette (Satin Taupe, Twinks, Shroom and Wood Winked)
MAC Paint Pot in Vintage Selection
NARS Galapagos

As you can see its been a neutral eye month as a whole. These have all been staples for me. Galapagos was my Wedding crease colour, its simply stunning, I love it.

HAIR

Batiste Dry Shampoo
St Tropez Daily Moisturiser for Face
St Tropez Daily Moisturiser for Body
LUSH Sweet Lips
Soap&Glory Hand Maid
Soap&Glory Make yourself Youthful Eye Cream

I have re found my love of Batiste of late, I love the Tropical fragrance the most. The St Tropez gradual tanners have been my everyday lotions of choice at the moment. They have helped me hold on to the slight tan I got on holiday. Hand Maid was an essential for me with all the travel we did, I'm a bit of a germ phobe. lol.

FRAGRANCE

Bath&Body Works Sweet Pea Body Lotion and Body Spray
J'adore by Christian Dior

I was introduced to the gorgeous Sweet Pea fragrance by Dinah in our Beauty sway last year. Needless to say I stocked up when I was in Vegas :))
J'adore has been my go to fragrance this moth, I love how it lasts on my skin.

 NAILS

OPI Shorts Shorts
Essie Fiji

These have been on my fingers and toes over half the month.

RANDOM FAVOURITE

I bought these hair bobbles from Sephora, I love how cute they are with the spots :))

My all time favourite of the month has to be this....

My Wedding ring.
Sorry to be soppy :))

Anyway happy April :))
Lots of love

Vegas Haul Part 2, Drug Store Beauties......

Like for my trip to Sephora, I knew what bits I was looking for in the drug store. I did pick up a few other bits and bobs, but I wanted to share these eye shadows and concealer with you the most.

Colour Tattoo in Tough as Taupe and Too Cool
Wet'N'Wild in Brulee
CoverGirl Tapestry Taupe
Wet'N'Wild in Silent Treatment
Revlon Diamond Lust shadow in Starry Pink
Milani Crystal Eyez in Lovely & Luminous

One of the things I was most excited about tho was this (above) The Instant Age Rewind Concealer.
I have heard so many fab reviews on YouTube about this I knew I had to try it out.

Ill give you a clue of my first impression...... March Favourites...

So what do you think??
I tried to get classics and shades that I know I cant get at home ( Too Cool, Colour Tattoo) as in the US drugstores there are NO testers at all, so some times it can be hit and miss.

Enjoy your evening all :))

Nail polish storage solution................

The ever lovely Rachel (You can follow her on twitter ) has asked me a couple of times to do a Nail polish storage/collection post. So here we have it. It wont be for everyone, I understand that. I like to store my polish in dreaws to protect it from light. I have found that for me this works far better and I do not have polish that has gone thick on me or needs thinning.

The storage boxes that I use are from Tesco. They are in the stationary asle. You get a set of two draws and they cost about £3 each. Total bargain in my eyes. I have found that they are a perfect hight to stand my polishes in. The 3 draw box on top is where I store all my costume jewellery, bangles and most of my earings. If you would like a post on this please leave a comment below :)

Anyway on to the polish...

In the top two draws I have a bit of a mix....

In the top I store my polish remover, glass file, OPI Nail Envy, Cuticle Oil, Top Coats and the bits that

NOTD Wet'N'Wild two tone mani......

I havent been able to post a NOTD recently because of the terrible light. I have managed to get some shots of the alternative French Mani that I did for the weekend using a couple of the polishes Dinah sent me in our swap.

What do you think???
WARNING PICTURE OVERLOAD!!!!! LOL.

L To R
Egg Plant and Rain Check

I love the way these Wet'N'Wild polishes apply, so smooth and such a long lasting polish too.
I'm not that confident doing french tips so I'm really pleased with this attempt.
I have really enjoyed this manicure.

Do you have any tips for perfect tips?? lol.

My favourite products of 2011.............

I though that this may make an interesting post, I wanted to share with you my top products from 2011. Most of them are products that I have discovered this year, several are now items that I will never be without. So without further ado.....

As you can see there is a little bit of everything, so I'm going to break it down into categories.

Favourite Brush
ELF's Studio stippling brush has been my stand out brush of the year.  It has been my brush of choice for foundation ever since I found it. It was £3.50 and a total bargain. LOVE IT!!!

Nail Products
OPI Nail Envy, No surprise there then. This is a holy grail product for me. Ive talked about it loads, if you would like to see why I love it check out my review.

Essie Fiji, possibly my favourite Nail colour of all time. I don't know why this has me under such a spell as it can be a pain in the bum to apply, but I really don't care I love it and am still wearing it at my wedding :))

Hair and Skin Care
Backcomb In A Bottle is something I discovered not to long ago after Cara mentioned it in a favourites. Its been an essential for me ever since. For more info see my Post.
VO5 Miracle Concentrate is a product that I discovered to replace my beloved Moroccan Oil. I reviewed it just this week after being totally blown away by it. Fantastic product and a great price.
Soap&Glory Wish Upon A Jar another holy grail product for me. This wonder moisturiser came into my life in March and has been a regular part of my skin care routine ever since. I love it when my skin is looking grey and life less, this revives and brightens leaving my skin alive and healthy. I did a full post on my saviour and you can see it here.
St Tropez Gradual Tan for Face has been my self tanner of choice for my face this year. It doesn't break me out, turn me orange or smell revolting. Its a winner all round and is just a gorgeous product.

Stand out new comer of the year...
MUA Professional MUA for me are the best new arrival on the high street this year. They offer amazing quality products at fantastic prices. Whether your budget is £1.00 or £8.00 there is something for everyone. A brilliant brand that I hope will be around for a long time and keep delivering fab products.

Lipgloss
Buxom is another range I discovered this year. I only have the one shade (Trixie) and i really enjoy this gloss when ever I wear it. It gives a nice plumpness to the lips with no irritation and isn't too sticky. Gorgeous.
MAC Plush Glass My favourite lipgloss formula from MAC. Plush glass again are slightly plumping. I find that they are long lasting and always leave my lips soft and moisturised when I wear them. This shade is Posh It Up and my favourite from the range.

Lipblam
Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Lip Protectant For me there is only one, another Holy grail peeps.

Biggest Discover of the year
Lipstick is something that I have fallen in love with this year. I have some favourite brands and shades, but lipstick in general has definitely been my biggest discovery of the year.

Face Products
NARS Laguna Bronzer is something I have had in my collection for a fair few years now. However in all honesty I only found the love this year. I love the way it looks on my skin, it warms and brightens without making me look orange.
Dior Amber Diamond The ultimate in Highlighters, I held out for a long long time before buying this. As soon as I tried it I could see why its so popular. its light on the skin, doesn't clog and lasts FOREVER......
MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Natural  (This is the natural, I just depotted it into my Wonder Woman compact, I like the mirror) This is my favourite setting powder. I only discovered it in April I think. I find that it keeps my skin shine free all day without it looking cakey or dry. I never thought I would love a powder so its a refreshing find for me.

Eye Products
Wet'n'Wild Shadows Dinah sent me these in our swap and Ive been totally seduced by this drugstore favourite. I think its such a shame that we cant get these in the UK as the quality is fantastic and the the range of colours massive.
Chanel Fauve  This has quickly become my fail safe shadow of choice. Its been in my favourites more than once and will be for some time I'm sure. for swatches see here.
NYX HD Eyeshadow Primer This is a great product. It does everything that you need from a primer, its long lasting, non creasing and HD. For me I find this just as good as Urban Decay PP. I love the quality of NYX and this is no exception.
Estee Lauder and Mac Gel Liner  Up until recently I had only used Clinique and No7 gel liners. I was in 2 minds which to try and Nic over at Strawberry Blonde Beauty Blog suggested that I try the Estee Lauder Double Wear. Its a fab liner, it lasts brilliantly on the water line and stays put all day. I also gave the famous Blacktrack a go and that to is a great liner. I have chopped and changed between these two since I got them, they are both fab and I will def repurchase them.

So that's my favourites. Sorry it was such a long and rambling post. Hope you enjoyed it.

What have you been loving this year??
