Naked 2 and Wet n Wild smoky purple eye........

I have for you today part two of the tutorial I filmed the other day, this is eyes and lips. 

I wanted a mauve silver look and this is what I can up with.......

I used the Urban Decay Naked2 Paltte and my Wet'N'Wild Petal Pusher palette. I really like this look and have worn it to work a few times. To see how I achieved the look, watch below...

Its a quick and easy daytime appropriate smokey eye.

Beyonce Countdown Video Inspired makeup.................

Its been a little while since I did a make up look or FOTD ( blame the bad light in the mornings!!!)

So I decided to change all that today with a celeb inspired makeup look.

I have decided to go for Beyonce in her latest Video Countdown as I caught it this morning on MTV and loved it.

The Video is almost quite 80's but has lots of winged black liner with minimal shadow and natural lips.

I googled for some photos and this is my favourite and my inspiration...

As you can see in this picture, there is a lovely inner eye highlight and a beautiful winged liner. Beyonce also has a quite strong brow. All this is paired with a natural lip and soft rosy cheek.

Here is my attempt, I dont have a fringe, but I tried to kind of create one for you, lol.

I'm quite pleased with how this turned out, looking back I think I should of winged the liner out more, oh well, too late now, lol.

Yes, I really should of extended the winged liner out further, dont you think.

I really like the effect the Molten metal gives to the tear ducts, so pretty. I will have to use this for my inner eye highlight more often.

What do you think of the stronger brows on me?? I kind of like but at the same time find it a little odd looking on me, lol.

Urban Decay 15th Anniversary Purple & brown smokey look........

Lat week I was chatting on Twitter to the lovely Hollie-Louise AKA Beautydoll buzz looking for inspiration for a makeup look.

Hollie-Louise suggested purple or brown smokey, so I decided to combine the two and use my new

Urban Decay 15th Anniversary Palette too :))

Here is the look I came up with and the products I used.....

As the eyes are so dramatic I wanted to keep the Lips classic so I just used some tinted Lip balm, I forget what colour now.

Front Cover Eye look...........

I managed to try out the beautiful Front Cover Baked Eye Shadows today :))

 They are so shimmery and pretty I really enjoyed putting them on!!

Here is the final look....

I used Power Puff all over my lid, its a really pretty golden champagne colour, not sparkly at all just beautifully reflective, the shimmer on these shadows is just fab!!

Next I applied Twinkling Grape into my outer V and socket, this colour is alot darker in the pan than when you apply on the eyes, nice and soft, blended really well with Powder Puff.

I ten applied Black Sparks with a damp brush as a liner along my upper and lower lash line. This is the most beautiful dark navy with tiny ting blue glitter through, it is such a shame that you cant see just how pretty in the photos. You cant really notice the glitter unless in the light so its also wearable in the day!!

Lastly I I used Moonstone as an inner eye and brow bone highlight.

I really did enjoy using these shadows, there was little or no fallout from the shadows with is refreshing as some mineral shadows fall out terrible.

They blend well and feel soft and silky on the eye.

I'm impressed and will defiantly be getting some more of these fab well priced little shadows!!!

My first Celebrity make up look...........

As this is a makeup blog, I feel that Its time for me to start doing some makeup looks and tutorials.

For my first celebrity inspired tutorial I  am going to try and recreate the look of the stunning Jennifer Lopez from a recent Harpers Bazaar cover...

I think Jennifer is beautiful, I love her style and look. I chose this image as its a little different to Jennifer's usual gold, bronze smokey eye look.

I also found the matt but somehow luminous skin so amazing!!!!

This is my attempt, this is a scary thing for me, my first photos of me!!! Hehe.

Ah yes and before any one wonders, I had a bandeux dress on, lol, so I do have clothes on!!! hehe.

I Wanted to create a smooth, semi matte base so i used Revlon's Photo Ready Foundation with a little NARS Orgasm highlighter mixed through. I didn't want to use a traditional powder to set my foundation, so I decided to use the Bourjois Delice de Soleil as a bronzer as this kept the semi matte look without loosing the dewy look. 

I contoured with the Bourjois bronzing powder in the hollows of my cheeks and up onto my temples. I concealed any darkness under my eyes with the Garnier Roll On and covered any blemishes with Mememe's Correct and Perfect. I used Mac Soft and Gentle MSF along the tops of my cheekbones, Accessorize Box Blush on my cheeks stopping just before my apples and then finally a dusted Macs Gold Deposit MSF over the blush and into the hollow to add that ' J Lo Glow' 

I used the matt brown from Sleek Storm Palette to fill and shape my brows.

I then started with Urban Decay Primer Potion over my lid. I then used an eyeshadow from YSL, Ombre Solo in no7. to try and recreate the soft almost pale peppermint green shadow, keeping it soft and with little or no glitter.

I lined my top and bottom lash line and also both water lines. I extended the lines out slightly but did not join them as Jennifer's aren't. I did add a little of Macs Black Tied into the outer v and socket, just to add some definition. I then blended Macs Shroom up to the brow bone for my highlight.

Next LOTS AND LOTS of Mascara, I used Cover Girl Lash Blast ( I buy this on import).

And finally for the lips I used Mac Cremestick Liner in Summerfruit to line my lips and I also filled them in, I followed this with NYX Round Lipstick in Pumpkin Pie.

I think this is a pretty good Dupe of the Lip Jennifer has in the picture.

And that's that.....
