A Great Kisser from Soap&Glory..............

If you have been following my blog for a while, you will be well aware that I am a complete lip balm addict.
I don't know what it is but i'm just drawn to them like a moth to a flame.

So all that said, I have a lip balm to share with you today.
I rediscovered this in my makeup bag recently when searching around in the depths.
I am talking about A Great Kisser from Soap&Glory in the delicious fragrance Juicy Peach.

When I bought this several months ago, it was the smell that dragged me in, it smells delicious. You you remember the sweets called Spanish Peaches? It smells just like them, amazing.

As well as smelling divine, it is also a great moisturizer, leaving my lips soft and ready for what ever lip colour I may throw at them.
It doesn't feel heavy or sticky and also looks pretty worn alone. Its not as thick in appearance on the lips as say Vaseline.

I'm pleased I have rediscovered this tasty lil pot of goodness.
At £5.00 it is more than some people would like to pay for a lip balm I know. For me however, the way this product looks on my lips alone, the moisturizing properties and the smell, would and will make me part with my money again.

What do you think?
Is £5 too much for a lip balm?

Lemonaid Lip Aid By Lanolips..................

With the colder weather hitting, I have found that my skin, in particular my lips have been suffering and getting dryer.
I decided that it was time to bring on the big guns, so it was Lanolips Lemonaid Lip Aid to the rescue.

This rich emollient has lemon oil (Organic may I add!!) added to naturally exfoliate the lips, helping to beat dryness quicker and leave lips softer and smoother quickly.
The balm is very thick in texture, this allows you to squeeze just the right amount out of the tube with little or no mess. A little goes a long long way with Lanolips.

I adore the light lemon scent of the Lemonaid, its not too sweet and lingers just right.
I like to apply this throughout the day before my lipstick or gloss, on those rushed days I also use it alone as it has a delicate shimmer that looks super pretty on the lips. I also apply a generous helping before bed to ensure smooth lips in the morning.

This really is a fantastic lip saviour, particularly in these colder months.

You can get Lanolips both online and in selected stores, I got mine from Boots, it cost £9.00, I personally think that this is a fantastic price for such a long lasting product that works amazingly.

This is the first product that I have tried from Lanolips and I will be checking out the rest of the range that is sure.

Have you tried other items in the range?
What do you recommend?

MAC Hey, Sailor haul part 2...............

Hey everyone!! Hope you have all had a good Wednesday?!
The week is half way done, and to celebrate, I have the 2nd part of my MAC haul to share with you.

I have also linked my YouTube haul video at the bottom of this post, so have a look see if you would like to see more on my thoughts :))

The Hey, Sailor Collection has been one of my favourites MAC has done in a long time. As well as some fab colours, I love the packaging.

This is the Highlight powder of the collection, Crew.
I thought that the coloured stripes were a light over spray, but when I have swatched the powder I had look and have found that they go fairly deep. The over all colour is a very soft baby pink, very pretty.

I chose the darker blush of the two in the collection, Fleet Fast. A warm soft coral. Very pretty and one I will get alot of wear from this summer.

Crew & Fleet Fast in natural light

Next up the Lip products I picked up.

A pro Long wear lip liner in Shore Leave, this liner I adore, its super pretty and lasts brilliantly on the lips.

A re promote Lipglass in Orange Tempera, this is a stunning gloss. Its a creamy peachy pink, totally gorgeous.

Suntint Liquid Lipbalm in Au Rose and Abalone. These are 2 of the 3 from the collection limited edition lip balms. They both have a subtle tint and spf20, making them perfect to throw in your bag for the summer.

Orange Tempera, Shore Leave, Au Rose and Abalone.

Of the two Liquid Liptints, my absolute favourite is Au Rose, it has a gentle sparkle and is lovely with Shore Leave liner.

Did you pick anything up from the collection???

Soap&Glory Mighty Mouth Lip Balm...................

If you have seen some of my more recent posts you will remember that I have been suffering with very dry skin and lips this winter. All the chopping and changing of mild and cold weather with snow thrown in for good measure has left me searching for my ultimate lip balms and moisturisers.

Today I want to share with you the fabulous Mighty Mouth Lip Balm from Soap&Glory.

As well as being a Lip Balm, Mighty Mouth has XLarge Collagen Plump Peptide Complex to give your lips a plumping effect.
The balm itself has over 70% moisturising ingredients and promises to be hydrate your lips, leaving them soft and comfortable. It has a soft pink tint to the gloss and comes in a hygienic squeeze tube applicator ( my fave!! So quick, clean and easy!!)

One of my favourite things about this balm is that it doesn't have a sticky texture on the lips, I find that it feels more creamy, almost like a lipstick.
I love the feeling of this balm, it lasts beautifully and has a delicate vanilla smell that isn't over powering when its on. This has become my go to lip Balm at the moment as I get the glossy look of a lip gloss, the texture of a creamy lip stick and the nourishment of a fantastic Lip Balm.

The Balm costs £8.00 and is available from Boots both instore and On line.

To find out more don't forget to check the fab Soap&Glory.com

Well done Soap&Glory, you have won my heart again!!!

Have you tried this balm yet?

Carmex Moisture Plus................

Something that you will be seeing a lot of in the next few weeks from me are posts about lip balms. At this time of year I go through a lot of them as Its the one time of year that I have dry skin and lips.

I have a few favourites, Carmex being among them. When I saw this in my local Boots the other day, I had to give it ago.

This is Moisture Plus, Sheer Tint in Pink from Carmex.

This has all the things that we expect from Carmex, Vitamin E, Aloe Vera, Shea Butter and SPF15 with the added bonus of a sheer soft pink tint.

My lips felt instantly moisturised with the balm. My lips have been sore for the last week and I have been really struggling with chapping, thanks to this handy little balm the tight, sore feeling is gone and the dryness on its way out too.

I must admit I love the colour this gives my lips too, its almost the perfect pink for me.

Moisture Plus cost me £4.49 and is available from all good drug stores and super markets.

What's your favourite Lip Balm?

My favourite products of 2011.............

I though that this may make an interesting post, I wanted to share with you my top products from 2011. Most of them are products that I have discovered this year, several are now items that I will never be without. So without further ado.....

As you can see there is a little bit of everything, so I'm going to break it down into categories.

Favourite Brush
ELF's Studio stippling brush has been my stand out brush of the year.  It has been my brush of choice for foundation ever since I found it. It was £3.50 and a total bargain. LOVE IT!!!

Nail Products
OPI Nail Envy, No surprise there then. This is a holy grail product for me. Ive talked about it loads, if you would like to see why I love it check out my review.

Essie Fiji, possibly my favourite Nail colour of all time. I don't know why this has me under such a spell as it can be a pain in the bum to apply, but I really don't care I love it and am still wearing it at my wedding :))

Hair and Skin Care
Backcomb In A Bottle is something I discovered not to long ago after Cara mentioned it in a favourites. Its been an essential for me ever since. For more info see my Post.
VO5 Miracle Concentrate is a product that I discovered to replace my beloved Moroccan Oil. I reviewed it just this week after being totally blown away by it. Fantastic product and a great price.
Soap&Glory Wish Upon A Jar another holy grail product for me. This wonder moisturiser came into my life in March and has been a regular part of my skin care routine ever since. I love it when my skin is looking grey and life less, this revives and brightens leaving my skin alive and healthy. I did a full post on my saviour and you can see it here.
St Tropez Gradual Tan for Face has been my self tanner of choice for my face this year. It doesn't break me out, turn me orange or smell revolting. Its a winner all round and is just a gorgeous product.

Stand out new comer of the year...
MUA Professional MUA for me are the best new arrival on the high street this year. They offer amazing quality products at fantastic prices. Whether your budget is £1.00 or £8.00 there is something for everyone. A brilliant brand that I hope will be around for a long time and keep delivering fab products.

Lipgloss
Buxom is another range I discovered this year. I only have the one shade (Trixie) and i really enjoy this gloss when ever I wear it. It gives a nice plumpness to the lips with no irritation and isn't too sticky. Gorgeous.
MAC Plush Glass My favourite lipgloss formula from MAC. Plush glass again are slightly plumping. I find that they are long lasting and always leave my lips soft and moisturised when I wear them. This shade is Posh It Up and my favourite from the range.

Lipblam
Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Lip Protectant For me there is only one, another Holy grail peeps.

Biggest Discover of the year
Lipstick is something that I have fallen in love with this year. I have some favourite brands and shades, but lipstick in general has definitely been my biggest discovery of the year.

Face Products
NARS Laguna Bronzer is something I have had in my collection for a fair few years now. However in all honesty I only found the love this year. I love the way it looks on my skin, it warms and brightens without making me look orange.
Dior Amber Diamond The ultimate in Highlighters, I held out for a long long time before buying this. As soon as I tried it I could see why its so popular. its light on the skin, doesn't clog and lasts FOREVER......
MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Natural  (This is the natural, I just depotted it into my Wonder Woman compact, I like the mirror) This is my favourite setting powder. I only discovered it in April I think. I find that it keeps my skin shine free all day without it looking cakey or dry. I never thought I would love a powder so its a refreshing find for me.

Eye Products
Wet'n'Wild Shadows Dinah sent me these in our swap and Ive been totally seduced by this drugstore favourite. I think its such a shame that we cant get these in the UK as the quality is fantastic and the the range of colours massive.
Chanel Fauve  This has quickly become my fail safe shadow of choice. Its been in my favourites more than once and will be for some time I'm sure. for swatches see here.
NYX HD Eyeshadow Primer This is a great product. It does everything that you need from a primer, its long lasting, non creasing and HD. For me I find this just as good as Urban Decay PP. I love the quality of NYX and this is no exception.
Estee Lauder and Mac Gel Liner  Up until recently I had only used Clinique and No7 gel liners. I was in 2 minds which to try and Nic over at Strawberry Blonde Beauty Blog suggested that I try the Estee Lauder Double Wear. Its a fab liner, it lasts brilliantly on the water line and stays put all day. I also gave the famous Blacktrack a go and that to is a great liner. I have chopped and changed between these two since I got them, they are both fab and I will def repurchase them.

So that's my favourites. Sorry it was such a long and rambling post. Hope you enjoyed it.

What have you been loving this year??
