My top Glitter Polishes 2012......

in my latest video I wanted to show you my favorite Glitter polishes of the moment.

Now I'm not going to lie to you, these may will and probably will change over the next few months.

One thing I can whole heatedly promise is that my love of Glitter polish will never change. I'm a glitter girl and that's that!!! lol.

October Favorites 2012.....

Hi Everyone!!!! I know that we all say this every month, but there goes another one!!!!

I am getting very excited for Christmas and have already been enjoying some festive nails ( I'm talking glitter baby!!!) lol.

Models Own Mirror Ball Collection......

Now as you all know, I love Glitter and sparkle, I also love Nail polish, so when Models Own announced and previewed the Mirror Ball collection, I knew it was one that I would like to add to my collection.

The collection has a total of 5 polishes, all named after 70 dance tunes.

Super cool, hehehe.

Highend lipsticks, Drugstore dupes......

Today I have part two of my Dupe series to share with you, and its the turn of Lipstick!!

This is something I really enjoyed doing, as a bit of a lipstick whore, It didn't surprise me how many dupes I have of colors. I also discovered a couple of shades that seem to be favorites, lol, did someone mention Angel??? lol.

Models Own Matte Lip Colour...............

As you know, I am having a love affair with lipstick. Because of this I am always looking for something new.
I recently spotted the Models Own Matt Hyper Brite range of lipsticks when I was browsing in Boots.
This colour, Pink Hawaiian really grabbed me.
Especially with my love of all things bright and neon this year.

As you can see its a super bright coral pink. It reminds me a bit of MAC's Impassioned, What do you think?

I have only worn this a couple of times and so far I love the formula, It is long lasting, has great colour pay off and leaves my lips feeling soft and comfortable.

I will share this with you in a look of the day very soon :))

Models Own Beach Party NOTD...............

With the sun actually shining what better way to celebrate than with a gorgeous NEON nail of the day post.

Today we have Beach Party from the HeadKandi Collection for Models Own.

I love ths colour, its just so cheerful and bright. Just what we all need. I only need two coats of this polish for a perfect finish. I have put this neon gem on my toes too. I love how it instantly makes me look more tanned than I actually am!!

I have been wearing this a lot since I picked it up a few months ago. Its a perfect colour for summer.

My summer 2012 Polish picks..............

I am a polish a holic, I am sure that if you have been reading my blog for a while you will be well aware of this.

I decide that I wanted to put together a post of my favourite polishes of the summer so far.

 I am always a fan of the brights more than the darks, so I always love summer collections more than the rest.

Battle of the Neons & Bright's.............

Like so many of you I am very happy that one of this years hot trends for Spring/Summer are Neon's and Brights.

For those of you not brave enough to go all out Neon, what about a polish?? I thought I would share with you some of my neon's and brights that I am excited to be wearing this year :))

When I swatched the colours I was actually really surprised how different they all are, even the pinks. 

I swatched them in the order I listed them above.

The Essie, models Own and China Glaze all dry to a matte finish, I used one coat of Out The Door over the swatches as I am not a matte nail fan.

 I really do think that there is a colour here for everyone, no matter how brave you may or may not be.

Battle of The Pink Polishes.....................

Last week after I posted my Pink Friday NOTD the lovely Cara asked me how similar the colour was to OPI's Mod About You. I said that I would do a couple of swatches so the Cara could see, that got me to thinking of all the pinks I actually have and how similar they may be.

And so we have this post....

As you see I am a bit (Coughs) of a pink fan, its my fail safe go to colour on those days that I cant decide what I want on my nails.

Honey Pink (Tesco), Pastel Pink (Models Own), Italian Love Affair (OPI), Pink Friday (OPI), Mod About You (OPI), Something Sweet (China Glaze) and Fiji (Essie)

As Above

On first glance they all look very similar, but when swatched its a different story.

Honey Pink This is lovely shade that's opaque in just 2 coats. This is the deepest of the bunch.

Pastel Pink is a cream formula that again is fully opaque in a couple of coats.

Italian Love Affair this is the same shade as Pastel Pink but has a pearl finish, I love this shade, think its beautiful and feminine. It also looks amazing with a tan!!

Pink Friday this shade to me is the ultimate bubblegum barbie pink. Its a lovely formula that dries to a high shine. Again its a cream finish.

Mod About You This is another of my favourite shades. It is more different than I thought it would be compared to Pink Friday, it leans towards a more lilac toned pink. This polish is such a gorgeous colour but can be a complete pain to apply.

Something Sweet is very close to Mod About You, its slightly less of a pain to apply but can be difficult to. Of the two shades I prefer the OPI.

Fiji as I have said many a time is my favourite polish shade ever. I don't know why but the soft baby pink just has me every time. Its just beautiful to me. As you can see its the softest and lightest pink of the bunch. Another cream finish that again can be a pain to apply but for me just so so worth it.

NOTD Tiger Strip-tastic................

OK, so this is a NOTD with a little difference ( for me anyway, lol).

I wanted to be brave and try out my Models Own Striping polish, here are the results.....

So there we are, Tiger stripes with a Halo background.....

What do you think?? I'm pleased at it was my first attempt. You can see where the striping brush dripped on my ring finger and I had to save it slightly but I really am pleased.

I was worried all round about the stripes being too much and that's why I added the bling finger. I chose Crown Me Already as the glitter is the same colour as the Halo in Coronation and wouldn't be too too much.

Please let me know what you think of my first attempt at propper nail art :))

NOTD Models Own Pastle Paradise..........

Following on from the recent Bling Finger trend, we have been seeing alot of multi coloured nails.

When one of the girls at work Stacey came in to work with multi nails very similar to Caggie from Made in Chelsea's, I decided that it was time for me to give it a go.

And I'm soooo pleased I did, super fun!!

I choose to use pastels as we still have the nice weather and they look super cute and summery.

I'm actually very pleasantly surprised how this turned out. Its something that I've always been wary of as it does remind me of being 5 and playing with my Nana's nail polish, lol

As I'm trying desperately to hang on to summer today I chose this gorgeous shade from Models Own.

Its a pretty shimmer peach. I used 3 coats for a full opaque finish. It applied really well and has a smooth easy to apply formula.
