UK/US Beauty Swap with Her Late Night Cravings

Hey Everyone!! H|ow are you all doing? Great I hope! Haven't we been lucky with the weather here the last few days in the UK, I hope that you are all getting a chance to enjoy the sunshine.

Enough about the weather, on to today's post.  I have been lucky enough to take part in a beauty swap with the beautiful ladies, Jayme & Mendi over at Her Late Night Cravings.

Now these two girls are amazing!! Their videos and blog posts always brighten up my day, and it was them that made me brave enough to take the YouTube plunge a year ago.

So a couple of months ago, we started emailing and chatting about doing a beauty swap, like the girls, I cant remember how it came up, but I am so so pleased it did. I have loved the whole process of chatting, getting to know the ladies, shopping for them and finally sending and receiving parcels.

Our boxes arrived last week ( I was so excited when I came home to it on Thursday!!) We both decided to film unboxing videos, it was seriously like Christmas. I was so lucky, the girls picked out beautiful items for me that we can not get here in the UK, and if you watch my video, you will see, I was more than a little excited!!lol.

I really can not say thank you enough to you both, I am so lucky to of made friends with you beautiful ladies and had the chance to do this with you :)

Please if you are not already subscribed ( Im sure you are!!) check out Jayme and Mendi's YouTube Channel Here. Seriously, you will love them!!

Also If you would like to see what I picked out for them, please follow the link below....

Happy Hump day everyone!!!

February Favorites 2013 and a fail................

How excited am I that Spring is on the way!!!
I really am pleased that its time for February Favorites as it means that Spring is nearly here.

I have had a complete skin care over haul this month, although I was seeing some improvements, it wasn't enough, so I got some advice and have started using Avene.

As well as lots of favorites, I do have one fail this month, maybe its something you can help me with?

Barry M Dragon Fruit NOTD............

Last week I shared with You the beautiful Greenberry from Barry M. Today I have the equally gorgeous Dragon Fruit, another of the new spring shades from the Gelly Collection.

This is a beautiful bubble gum pastel pink, perfect for spring and very girlie.
I love this colour. So pretty.

The Gelly range of polishes has totally seduced me, they are long lasting, super glossy and lovely to apply.
Dragon Fruit was opaque in two coats.

I cant wait to try out some more of the polishes in the range!

Is this a color that you would wear?
What shades from the Gelly range do you recommend?

Barry M greenberry NOTD.....

Its been a while since my last NOTD so I thought it time I put that right!!

I have to share with you Greenberry from the Gelly range by Barry M.

This beautiful colour is new for spring and completely beautiful.
It is very nearly a perfect Tiffany & Co Blue, all the more to love.

The formula applied beautifully, this is just 2 coats.

I am a massive fan of the glitter polishes and magnetic range from Barry M, with a few favorites from the standard range too. Having tried this Gelly Polish tho, I must admit I'm a convert. At £3.99 I think they are a great price. I really hope that they continue to add to the range.

What do you think of the Gelly range?

MAC Glamour Daze Superb and Everything That Glitters.........

Every year MAC launches a fabulous Christmas collection with everything our heart could desire. And this year The Glamour daze Collection delivers big time.

I had promised myself that I wasn't going to go mad and buy too much from the collection as I have asked for a few bits for Christmas and also, I want to show the makeup I have a little love.

There were just two things that I knew I wanted to get when the collection launched online.
1 was the Extra Dimension Skin finish in Superb that I missed out on earlier in the year, and the other was Everything That Glitters Nail polish. This is my first polish from MAC and what a way to start, a glitter fest in a bottle!!

Superb is a beautiful Rose gold tone highlight. I am not disappointed with this at all, I am so pleased to have this as part of my kit. It looks beautiful on a range of skin tones and adds beautiful light to the skin without being super sparkly or shiny looking.

Next is Everything that glitters, a sheer black based polish with micro glitter in magenta, teal blue, silver and gold.
Its just beautiful and opaque in two coats. The glitter is nice and dense and gives fantastic and even coverage. As I mentioned this is my first MAC polish, I hope I haven't started another obession here!!! lol.

I am really pleased with my two purchases from the collection and super excited to use them over the festive season.

Are there any items you will picking up before Christmas?

OPI And Breast Cancer Awareness Month............

In October we see the offerings from many of the household brands that we use on a daily basis in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month.

It is a sad reality that all to many of us will be affected by the disease at some time in our lives, whether it be a loved one or ourselves. We are very lucky that medical advances are making this illness more beatable everyday.

So if buying something as simple as a a box of spread ( I cant believe its not butter is all pinked up in ASDA for Tickled Pink!!!), a Chocolate cake ( Mcvities) or a OPI Nail polish to make donation to a fab cause, then I am there.

Every little helps, and as someone who walked 26.2 miles in the London Moonwalk I have seen the goodness that can come from donations.

So let me introduce you to one of the items I have picked up this month in support.....

OPI Have two polishes on offer this year, You Glitter Be Good To Me was the one that grabbed me.
A beautiful pale pink micro glitter with larger cerise hex glitter that will look super pretty both layered and alone, I can not wait to wear this polish.

What do you think of the latest support Polish from OPI? Will you be picking it up?

So lets have a fabulous Pink month, and remember to check your breasts regularly!!!!

Gosh Holographic is BACKKKKKKKKKKKK....

If you follow me on Instagram ( MariaSparkle19) you will of seen that I recently picked up the much talked about and loved Gosh Holographic polish.

I had the original from Gosh and although I liked the polish I found that it chipped within hours and was a bit of a pain to apply.

When I heard that Gosh had reformulated and relaunched the much hyped and talked about Polish, I knew that I would like to give it another go. I didnt think that I would be able to tho as I really didnt think that my Superdrug would get it in.

I WAS WRONG!!!!
Last week while browsing I spotted one lonely bottle of the polish on the stand, it was ment to come home with me!!!! lol.

And hey presto, here is the lovely polish in all its glory.

Im so impressed with the polish, it applies much better and I had this on my nails for 3 days with NO WEAR!!!

I'm so impressed and pleased that I was able to pick it up. If you see the polish I highly recommend that you give it ago.

Holo in this weather is hideously hard to photo, the above pics are from my instagram and the best I got, take my word for it, this polish is STUNNING!!!

Have you managed to pick up a bottle of this polish?
What do you think of it 2nd time round?

OPI Holland Collection Red Lights Ahead...Where?

Something Orange to brighten up your day......

This is Red Lights Ahead....Where from the OPI Holland collection. I really like the colour of this orange toned red, its not quite a coral and yet not a true red either. I don't like the formula tho, It was hard to apply and even with three coats still wasn't opaque.

It doesn't happen often but this polish really disappointed me :(

Have you tried this polish? Is it just me??

OPI Senorita Rose-Alita NOTD...........

Something a little different from this years Neon trend, a beautiful classic rose shade from OPI......

WOW!!! I actually love this color, I cant put my finger on it but I just love it!!!

Senorita Rose-Alita is a beautiful rose shade with gold shimmer running through, giving a gorgeous pearl finish to the polish. It really is a beautiful color and in my opinion, VERY SEXY!!
This polish has seduced me, lol

This polish applied really well and dried quickly, I did use 3 coats to get a fully opaque finish, the texture is very smooth tho and so using three coats wasn't a problem.

What colors have surprised you?

Essie NOTD Tart Deco and A Cut Above.............

If you have been following my blog for a while, you will know that my favorite polish brand is Essie, so today I have a NOTD featuring two of my tops picks from the brand to share with you.

As a lover of all things sparkly and glittery, I simply love A Cut Above from Essie. Its a beautiful glitter polish that is very nearly fully opaque with two coats.
Tart Deco is a beautiful color for summer ( You know, those 3 days a year we get where the sun shine?!!? lol)

I normally would never pair these polishes, I am so so pleased that I did, I think they work really well together, I love the contrast of the pink and orange....

What color combinations are you enjoying at the moment?
