VO5 Miracle Concentrate......................

As you all know I have a running love affair with Moroccan Oil and there is rarely a month where I don't feature it I'm my favourites.

Well, Moroccan Oil my lovely, you have competition for my affection!! When I was browsing around Superdrug about 5/6 weeks ago, I spotted this, The VO5 Miracle Concentrate.

Now I fully admit that I wasn't expecting much from this petite little bottle of golden oil. Especially as it costs just £4.99 compared to Moroccan Oils hefty price tag of £30.45.

However what I got was a fantastic product that leaves my hair soft, silky and manageable. Like Argan oil it speeds up drying time and is both moisturising and full of anti-oxidants ( that's thanks to the Vit E!!) as well as protecting your hair from blow drying.

I have been using this pretty much every time I have washed my hair since I got it and I can honestly say that I love it just as much as Moroccan Oil, and for me to say that it must be good. When my Moroccan Oil runs out, i will really think twice about repurchasing it when I truly do think this is just as good, if not dare I say better.....

What high end products do you love that you have found drug store dupes for?

TRESemme Instant Refresh, Volumising Dry Shampoo.........

Having long colour treated bleach blond hair can take its toll, i do all the sensible things, use hair treatments, heat protection sprays and my favourite, Moroccan Oil, and in doing this it all helps.

My hair takes such a long time to dry and i try not to strip all the natural oils, washing my hair every day,
the only problem is that i love that fresh washed feeling.
This means I'm always after the ultimate dry shampoo. Having used several over the years, i recently tried the new TRESemme Instant Refresh Volumising Dry Shampoo.

Having been a batiste girl, I'm hard to please when it comes to dry shampoo, i am really pleased i gave this a go tho. The TRESeme has a lovely fresh scent and promises to add volume, which it does with great results so you get that fresh washed feeling whilst also looking after your hair.

I love the fact that this also boosts volume, although other dry shampoos add texture and a little root lift, this gives you all that and volume, and believe me i love BIG HAIR, hehe.

You can find The Instant Refresh range in all good drug stores,
RRP £4.39

For more of the science, check out TRESemme's web site.

Batitse have just launched an XXL version of their dry shampoo, i wonder how they compare?!?

Moroccan Oil...........

I work in a top hair salon and something that has been talked about alot lately is Moroccan Oil. This time last year i cant even remember hearing about it at all.

In January we began stocking it in our salon, and so it began.....
When we had our training on the original oil (its the only line in the range we stock) i was instantly hooked by the promises the magic oil made. I have long bleached hair that can be dry on the ends. I have split ends like most women, and my hair being as long as it is takes what seems like forever to dry.

Let me give you a little bit of the history behind the oil.
Moroccan oil comes from the kernels of the Argen tree, native to Morocco. The oil itself has many uses, from cosmetic, to medicinal, even being used as a dipping oil.

The original Moroccan Oil promises to make hair stronger, smoother, whilst reviving the hair.
Its a treatment oil that you run through wet freshly washed hair, there is no need to rinse.
The oil doesn't leave the hair with any residue, just nourished from the outside in. It seals in the moisture encouraging the hair to dry quicker, by up to 25%. Your hair will feel silky and soft every time you wash your hair.
Also having no silicone in means that you don't end up with product build up.

You can also use Moroccan oil as you would a serum, running a small amount over your finished style, so really you are getting two products for one!!! Even better.

The Original oil comes in 2 sizes, 25ml costing £12.85 or 100ml for £30.40.

If your hair needs a pick me up, give this a go, you wont turn back, i promise!!!
