Strawberry & Champagne Lip Butter.................

Unless you have been living under a stone of late, I'm sure that you will of heard beauty murmurs about Marshmallow blends. This is a new website aimed at those of us to quote the website
"crave delicious scented body products with a twist".

The lovely Nicoletta who is behind this fabulous new brand, tweeted that she had been working on Strawberry & Champagne Lip Butters and was kind enough to tweet me when they hit the online store.

I am a bit of a Lip Balm/salve/butter junkie, especially this time of the year as I can suffer with sore dry chapped lips if I'm not careful.
I'm so excited with this Lip butter I cannot tell you.....

As well as being beautifully moisturising, thanks to the Shea butter and aloe vera to name but a few of the all natural ingredients; it comes in the cutest heart shaped tin. Perfect for puckering up for Valentines day. He he. The fragrance is delicious, sweet enough but not sickly at all.

The butter its self is the prettiest soft baby pink and has a lovely texture that melts into your lips without leaving them feeling heavy or worse yet greasy.

The Lip Butters cost £3.99 and I think make an amazing present. I know that I will be gifting some of these through out the year.

If Strawberry & Champagne isn't your cup of tea there are others, Maple, Lemon Cheesecake and Amaretto among them.

So if you are looking to try beautiful handmade products at a great price then head on over to  www.marshmallowblends.co.uk

Have a fab day!!

Nail polish storage solution................

The ever lovely Rachel (You can follow her on twitter ) has asked me a couple of times to do a Nail polish storage/collection post. So here we have it. It wont be for everyone, I understand that. I like to store my polish in dreaws to protect it from light. I have found that for me this works far better and I do not have polish that has gone thick on me or needs thinning.

The storage boxes that I use are from Tesco. They are in the stationary asle. You get a set of two draws and they cost about £3 each. Total bargain in my eyes. I have found that they are a perfect hight to stand my polishes in. The 3 draw box on top is where I store all my costume jewellery, bangles and most of my earings. If you would like a post on this please leave a comment below :)

Anyway on to the polish...

In the top two draws I have a bit of a mix....

In the top I store my polish remover, glass file, OPI Nail Envy, Cuticle Oil, Top Coats and the bits that

MUA Dusk til Dawn Palette............

Today I am sharing with you the MUA Dusk Til Dawn shadow palette.
I have had this for a little while and rediscovered it over the festive season. Its a fab palette for both day and night looks as the name suggests.

There are several neutrals as well as some gorgeous glitter filled shades. One of my favourites is the Indigo Blue with tiny silver glitter. ( Bottom row 4th from the left).
The white in the top row also has just the right amount of sheen without being to shiny.

Dusk Til Dawn

As you can see from my swatch above there really is a nice mixture of colours in this palette. Dare I say that of my MUA palettes, I think it may just be my favourite. I did a fair few smokey eyes with this palette over the festive season.

Once again MUA have given us a fantastic quality palette for an amazing price, there palettes cost just £4.00 and can be purchased from selected branches of Superdrug or from MUA online.
Which is your favourite MUA palette??

MUA goodies................

I though you may like to see some of the more recent additions I have picked up from MUA.
I love the new retail stand they have in my local Superdrug.

Glamour Days Shadow Palette, Lipstick shade 12 and Single shadow No29.

Shade 12
This is a lovely colour, its a reddy coral with tiny glitter running through. It's quite a sheer colour which I love for this time of the year, breaking me in gently to the brights I will be wearing very soon for the spring/summer. If you are a little scared of brights this lipstick is a great place to start.

Shade 29 and the Glamour Days Palette.

Shade 29 is a beautiful gold shade. It does have some glitter through and I have had a bit off fall out, however as its a light colour this isn't a massive thing for me. I find that as long as you use a base that it works well.

The Glamour Days Palette is gorgeous, I'm glad that I added it to my collection. It has a lovely mixture of colours from neutrals to a few pastels great for the winter to spring transition. I'm loving pinks and lilacs at the moment so this is perfect for me at the moment.

Blue Nail Quake Glitter and Pink Nail Quake Glitter

Lastly I got these, You all know how much of a glitter girl I am, so for me these are a must have. Although I am a bit over the crackle craze, I'm hoping that these will be a refreshing change as they are glitter and will look a bit more subtle.

What are you looking forward to the most about Spring trends??

My Rouge Volupte Lipsticks............

I was lucky enough to get my first Rouge Volupte Lipstick for Christmas from Richard. I also got a Debenhams voucher and bought another I was so impressed with the first, for myself.

Lingerie Pink (No7) and Sensual Silk (No2)

As you know I'm a packaging sucker and these definitely deliver on that front. They are just soooo pretty to look at. I love how the shade is displayed around the edge of the tube.

The texture of these is super soft and creamy. I have found that they are really lovely and hydrating which for the winter I really need. They are also quite glossy which I like as it means I don't need to put a gloss on top :) Great for fast freshen ups.

I cant decide which of these colours I like the best. I'm really enjoying pale lips at the moment and they both satisfy my hunger for that. On top of all that I have always loved the smell of YSL Lipsticks and cosmetics in general and these too have that beautiful fragrance that I expect.

Lingerie Pink (No7)
Sensual Silk (No2)

These are lip swatches on bare lips no liner. I will wear these both with liners on a day to day basis I think, especially with Sensual Silk. Just to give my lips that extra definition I think they need. I cant wait to wear these when I have a bit of a tan too. I always find that being olive skinned my skin can look quite sallow this time of the year.

Whats your favourite Rouge Volupte??

Have a sparklicious day!!

OPI Nicki Minaj Collection, My new additions................

I'm sure you are more than well aware of the new launch from OPI, The Nicki Minaj collection.
There are a total of 6 polishes in the collection including 2 glitters and one shatter.

L To R
Pink Friday, Did It On Em, Fly, Metallic 4 Life, Save Me and Super Base (Shatter)

I was keen to try a couple of the shades from the range, surprisingly tho, Save Me the Holographic bar glitter wasn't one of them. I'm a bit of a traditionalist with my glitter and I'm more a fan of hex or round.

When I saw this Mini's set It was perfect for me.

I'm really pleased with the Minis selection as it doesn't have the Shatter polish ( something else I'm a little bit over...) It does however have Pink Friday and Fly the 2 colours I was most keen to try.

I have done some swatches, each one is 2 coats.

Did It On Em is a vivid almost neon lime green yellow. I think this will be great for the summer, I will probably wear this as a feature nail as opposed to a full set.

Fly is a beautiful bright turquoise blue creme. It applied really beautifully and has a lovely finish. I cant wait to wear this polish :)

Pink Friday Now you all know that I'm a massive pink polish fan and this for me is right up there. Its a true bubblegum pink creme and lovely to apply.

Metallic 4 Life is a black jelly base with silver micro glitter. It does dry nicely and would be fine with 1 layer of top coat as it doesn't feel to gritty. I think for me this is going to work best layered as its not as opaque as I like my polish. None the less a great shade, all be it in my opinion not very spring like?!

What are you thinking of the Nicky Minaj OPI Collection??

Whats your favourite??
You can get the Mini's from Chemist Direct here for £9.99.

Have a fab day!!

Galapagos, At Last you are MINEEEEEEEEEEEE........

A little while ago I posted a wish list and it featured a few bits n bobs from NARS. Out of my Christmas money I decided to treat myself to one of the items that I wanted the most, Galapagos Eye shadow. I also picked up Catfight Lipstick......

Galapagos

Galapagos is a beautiful warm brown with micro gold glitter, I am so pleased that I now have this in my collection. I'm really excited to try it out, I think its going to make a great everyday colour as well as a more dramatic smokey eye look.

Catfight

I liked this colour from the swatches I had seen on other blogs. I had to hunt around for it a little bit as I think it was a Ltd Edition. I just think it s a great everyday colour that will be a good colour to take me from winter into spring.

Galapagos and Catfight

Have you got any NARS recommendations for me? What are your favourites?

Have a fab day!!
