Battle of the coral lipsticks...................

Last week I posted a little Topshop haul with a couple of lip products.
One of the Lipsticks I picked up was Ohh La La, a bright coral with a matte finish.
When I wore this lipstick for work over the weekend, I noticed that it similar to a couple of my very favourite MAC lippy's.

The Lipsticks in question are the Limited Edition Ever Hip, a cremesheen finish and Costa Chic a frost.
In the bullet they all look very very similar, if not the same.

When I swatched them all against one another, I was happy to see that although small, they are all actually different.

Ever Hip is a true peach shade, slightly muted. It also has a slight sheen.
Ohh La La is the brightest of the bunch. A orange toned coral, no pink at all in this one. It has a beautiful matte velvet finish.
Costa Chic is the most pinkie of the three. A pink toned coral with a slight shimmer and of course the frost finish.

I hope that you can all see on your screens the difference that I can see in real life.
I have no doubt tho that Ohh La La is the truest orange/coral.

For some I know that having these 3 colours and so similar is excessive, and I must admit, they are right. As a true make up junkie and lover I am pleased that they are in my collection.

What do you think of these three?

MUA's latest Hit, Lip Boom.......................

This Spring I am loving all things coral, tangerine, orange and anything in between. And this new lip combo I was sent from from MUA is no exception. ( Pr Sample)

This is one of the new 4 in 1 Lip Boom's from MUA and Alexandra Burke.
These handy lip combos have a gloss at one end and a coordinating matte lipstick at the other.

This particular Lip Boom is in the shade OMG ( something I always say!!) and is a stunning peachy shade. The lipstick although a matte finish leaves my lips feeling comfortable and smooth with NO drying effects like so many other matte lipsticks can.
The gloss as well as smelling divine, has gorgeous sparkles running through to give your lips that grown up sparkle, just the right amount, no glitter ball madness here.

L To R OMG Lip Boom
Lipstick alone, Gloss alone and Lipstick with gloss over.

As you can see the pigment in these is amazing. The lipstick is very long lasting and stands up well in the time tests.
I have worn both the lipstick and gloss alone, the gloss gives a delicate sparkle with a hit of coral giving a very fresh look to my makeup.

These fab new Lip Boom's come in 8 striking shades, all chosen by Alex herself.

They will be available from Superdrug and The on line MUA store.
They are also a bargain at £3, grab yours when they hit stores on May 9th!!!

Soap&Glory The Fab Pore Hot Cloth Cleanser..........

I think I am one of the last people to of tried a hot cloth cleanser. It has been years since I  used a wash of cleanser to remove my makeup. When I was shopping in Boots ( about 3 weeks ago ) I saw this by Soap&Glory.

As I have been lucky with the Soap&Glory products I have tried, I decided to give this a go.

The cleanser comes with a muslin face cloth to maximise the results. It does help that the cloth has pink trimming so it looks cute in the bathroom too!!
I have waited till now to share this with you as I wanted to give the cleanser a fair trial.

The Fab Pore Cleanser is a 3 in 1 concentrated formula that promises to deep purify. It has panthenol, sweet almond, orange and lavender oils to leave your skin feeling soft and comfortable.
Once you have massaged the cleanser onto your face ( Soap&Glory recommend 60 seconds) you remove it with a warm, wet muslin cloth.

Well what can I say but this..........

I LOVE IT!!!

I have never used a muslin cloth before and have found that I love the way it leaves my skin feeling. Add this to the Soap&Glory Fab Pore Cleanser and I have a match made in heaven.
After getting home from Vegas I found that I have had some annoying breakouts on my cheeks that just wouldn't budge. Thanks to this cleanser in just a week they cleared dramatically.
My skin is softer than it has been in a long long time and feels incredibly smooth.

I cant believe that I have been missing out on the muslin cloth trend for so long!!!

The Fab Pore Hot Cloth Cleanser is priced at £10 for 100ml.

It is available from all good branches of Boots both in store and On Line. Its also on 3 for 2 at the moment, bargain!!!

To find out more check out the Soap&Glory.Com

Have you tried this cleanser out yet???
What did you think?

OPI Teenage Dream vs Topshop Adrenalin, a dupe, what do you think??.........

I picked up a new Topshop polish today (Click here for the post) and wanted to share a swatch with you as in the shop it really reminded me of the OPI Katy Perry polish in Teenage Dream.

So here we are the two polishes side by side....
L To R
Teenage Dream and Adrenalin

When I got them together I saw straight away that Teenage Dream has more of a pale pink tone to it. The Halo glitter is also larger and more dense in the Adrenalin.

With Flash

Natural Light

As you can see from the swatches, although they are very similar they are also quite different.
The swatches are 3 coats of each. The Topshop polish is much more opaque, the glitter much more dense, there is also more halo in the Adrenalin. I think this is what gives it almost a slightly more lilac tone to the polish.

Dare I say I think I actually prefer the Adrenalin, and that is a bold statement for me to make as Teenage dream has been a favourite for me since it launched last year. I think this is what I wanted it to look like.

What do you think???

Very nearly a dupe???

Butter London Gorgeousness.........

I have seen so much in the blog sphere about Butter London that I decided that it was time to pop my cherry and try out the brand. I particularly wanted to try out the fab new Lippy range consisting of 5 shades, all with a matching polish.

I ordered from Cute Cosmetics after I saw Nic ( The Strawberry Blonde) review Trout Pout on her blog. I cant believe the service, I only placed my order at 10pm Monday eve and through my door came my parcel today.
Here is what I got.....

OMG!!!
What can I say apart from beautiful!!!! I chose Disco Biscuit from the 2012 collection and boy it doesn't disappoint. Its a bright tropical pink with blue micro sparkles running through. Its beautiful.

The Lippy I chose was Primrose hill Picnic, a gorgeous bright pink. The texture of these is really lovely, I don't find them to feel gloppy or sticky at all. And as for the smell, all I can say is DIVINE!!!!
I applied the gloss to take a pic for you and I can honestly say that it is one of the longest lasting glosses I own.

Its LOVE, a new addiction, just want I need, lol.

Primrose Hill Picnic

Will you be picking any of these up??

The Lippys cost £14 and the Polish £12, you can buy them direct from Butter London or from
Cute Cosmetics. They have some fab other tings on there site to, its worth checking out!!

Let me know what shade of the range you have your eye on!!!!

Some Topshop Goodies.............

Having read a lot of very good things about Topshops range of cosmetics, especially there lipsticks.
Because of this I picked up a couple of there Lip products and a nail polish today

How could I resist this bottle of sparkly heaven?? Its called Adrenalin. Its a clear base with micro pinky lilac, holographic micro glitter and large holo hex. Gorgeous.

Next up I chose Ohh La La a matte finish tangerine lipstick, it feels lovely and creamy, I cant wait to try this one out.

And lastly I picked up one of there Lip Sticks, a jumbo Lip pencil. I will use this as a lippy and as a liner. Again the texture is soft and glides on. These pencils are super pigmented and after I swatched them in store, proved to have great staying power on my hand :)

What colours do you recommend from Topshop??

Think I have found a new addiction lol.

Battle of the Neons & Bright's.............

Like so many of you I am very happy that one of this years hot trends for Spring/Summer are Neon's and Brights.

For those of you not brave enough to go all out Neon, what about a polish?? I thought I would share with you some of my neon's and brights that I am excited to be wearing this year :))

If you can bare to read this with out your sunglasses, ill go on, lol.

L To R
OPI A Roll In The Hague
Models Own Hedkandi Beach Party
Models Own Hedkandi Hedonist
Essie Ole Caliente

L To R
Essie Pink Parka
Stargazer 104
China Glaze Pink Voltage
China Glaze Pool Party
China Glaze Purple Panic
China Glaze Flip flop Fantasy

When I swatched the colours I was actually really surprised how different they all are, even the pinks.
I swatched them in the order I listed them above.

The Essie, models Own and China Glaze all dry to a matte finish, I used one coat of Out The Door over the swatches as I am not a matte nail fan.

I really do think that there is a colour here for everyone, no matter how brave you may or may not be.

What is your favourite???

Fairy Drops Mascara, A new favourite......

Before we went to Vegas I purchased the The Fairy Drops Mascara. I wanted to try this out before my holiday so that if I liked it I could pick up a backup in Sephora.

Now I did get mine from eBay, I know that not everyone likes to buy cosmetics from Ebay, I however have been pretty lucky all in all. I always pick top rated sellers with excellent feedback.

First off, how super cute is the packaging!!!! Its adorable.
So as well as being pretty, it is also a fantastic mascara. It comes with a curved brush to help curl and hold your lashes in place. It is aimed at the Asian market where they have straighter lashes.
The formula also contains fibres to help lengthen your lashes.

At first glance the wand could look a little scary to some. But fear not, it works beautifully.
I am totally hooked on this mascara, it is long wearing, doesn't smudge and is easy to remover even tho it is waterproof. It doesn't make your lashes feel brittle like so many waterproof mascara.
It also doesn't clump. Even with the fibres.
I have pretty much stopped using my eye lash curlers since I opened this mascara. I'm lucky and have a nice curl to my lashes, I have just found that I have no need for my curler using this mascara as it hold my lashes perfectly and opens my eyes.

I wore this on my wedding day, so I for one know that it is waterproof, smudge proof, holds up fantastically in the heat and is an all around fab product.

Needless to say I did pick up a back up in Sephora.

Have you tried this Mascara??

What do you think of Fibre infushed formulas, what are your favourites??

Nail Polish Tag.................

So Aly from Seven things beauty sent me the Nail Polish Tag.

Now as always there are some rules.........

1. Answer the following questions....
2.Send the tag on to 5 Blogger's
3.Let the 5 Blogger's know :)

Now on to the fun part, the questions......
I have changed the wording a little, and one question I just didn't get so I left that one out.
Here they are..

How many nail polishes do you have?

At last count it was somewhere just short of the 200 mark. Excessive I know, but what can I say, I just adore polish.

What is your favourite brand of polish?

Ummm, this is actually very hard for me. My all time favourite is Essie, I just wish there were easily available to get here in the UK. So my other favourite has to be OPI, I love the colour range.

Do you like or hate crackle?

I did love, now I'm so over it.... lol.

What was your very first Nail polish?

I honestly cant remember the answer to this one. I think it was probably Pink Ice that Marks&Spencer used to make. Such a pretty pink.

If you had your own polish line, what would it be called?

I would like to call it Mizee, (pronounced Me- Zee) as it was my nickname my precious Grandad used to call me, and if I ever had my own line, I know he would of been super proud.

What polish colour just doesn't suit you?

Black or anything too dark, or purples. I love all of these shades but they don't love me :(

What are your favourite shades ( look best on you?)

My all time favourites are pinks, from neon's and babies to brights. I also love Corals. I love the way they look on my hands. Also I'm a glitter gal all the way :))

What has been your favourite Nail polish gift?

Any time that someone takes the time to buy me a polish it is special. I love the fact that the person has taken the time to choose a colour they think I will like.

So those are the questions and my answers.
I hope that you like this tag and found it a bit of fun.

Now on to those I am going to Tag......

I tag you all!!!!!

I want to know what all your answers are to these questions.

Leave the link to your response in the comments below.

Barry M Lip Lacquer Crayons...................

These are something I picked up a few months ago. They are the Lip Lacquer Crayons.
The main reason I choose these is because of how super sparkly they are. I also like the idea that I can use them as a lipstick or as a lip liner of sorts.

I chose two shades in Ballet Pink and Party Pink

Ballet Pink is a blue based pale baby pink with an iridescent shimmer. It is super pretty and perfectly girlie.

Part Pink is more of a fuchsia pink. Of the two this is definitely my favourite. Its gorgeous, it has micro sparkle making it shine.

These pencils I have found have great staying power and don't dry my lips out at all. I am really impressed with them They have a creamy texture, you can feel the sparkle making them feel a teeny tiny bit gritty but nothing to write home about.

I have used the Party Pink as a liner on several occasions and love the effect it gives with my other lip colours.

There are 5 shades in the range so far, I want to try out the Mandarin next as I am loving bright's at the moment.

The Lip Lacquers are £4.99 each and available from all good drugstores. You can also get them from

Have you tried these gorgeous pencils? What colour do you think I should try out next??

Thank you for reading, have a fab day!!!

Hello my name is Maria and I am addicted to all things Soap&Glory.

One of the things I love most about Soap&Glory is the gorgeous fragrance.

Its comes in one size a 50ml and costs £16.50.

Like all Soap&Glory it is available from Boots both in store and online.
