Maybelline Diamond Glow Coral Drama.....

Maybelline is a brand that I have only really experimented with over the 18 months or so.
I love there color Tattoos, mascaras and lipsticks. I'm also a fan of a couple of their foundations.

Something I had never really tried was the shadow quads. Back when it was 3 for 2 in Boots I decided to pick one up ( I was buying 2 of the new color tattoos at the time, lol)
When I saw the pretty coral, gold and bronze brown in this palette, I knew it was the one for me to try.

Coral Drama

The palette is a Diamond Glow shadow from the Eye Studio range.
It has four pretty shades, and if like me you like shimmer, these will be right up your street!

Like so mant palettes today, on the reverse is a small diagram showing you a small tutorial on where they think the shaodws work best etc. I never really follow these, but if you are a makeup newbie or just plain scared of eye shadow, then this really is a handy little help.

These shadows are really nicely pigmented, I must admit I'm really very impressed, they have surpassed my expectations.
They are lovely in texture, quite buttery and don't have too much fall out.The lightest shade is probably the weakest in the palette, I however found that for a inner corner highlight it offers more than enough pigment.

My favorite shades in the palette are without a doubt the darkest two, the beautiful coral and darkest bronzed brown. They look super pretty.

I paid £7.19 for this shadow, and although that is a little pricey for a drug store shadow, I do think they are worth it.

Have you tried the Diamond Glow shadows yet??

Si here I have for you my top 10 picks from MAC, lipsticks that I would immediately replace if they run out or I lost them.

I realalised that I am a total pink freak when it comes to lipstick, this video shows my obsession I think lol.

What are your favorite lipsticks???

Amy Childs Lashes, A new found love.......

If you have been reading my blog for a while, you will know that I like glamorous looks for both the day and night.
The way I like to take a look from day to night is by adding some gorgeous lashes, and the ones I am sharing with you today are certainly gorgeous.

These are the Amy Childs' Lashes in style Tease 2.
A soft lash with medium and long lashes with the added bonus of a little sparkle along the lash line.
They are an ideal lash for added glamour for any night time eye look.

The lashes are super comfortable to wear. They have little or no band making them easy to blend and apply. They are very light and pack far more punch than you would at first think looking so delicate.
They are also really long lasting and can be worn multiple times, something I personally am a massive fan of.

Something else that i really love about these lashes if that they come off the card, no dragging or pulling that I find means I quite often misshape my lashes.

I have worn this set once already ( I took the photos first, lol)
and am recording a full tutorial on my YouTube Channel that will be up this week to show you these lashes at there very best.

Amy's range has a total of 8 designs in total ranging from subtle girly lashes to the more dramatic and glamorous for the diva in all of us, they cost £8 and are available from

I for one am going to be trying another set, I have already ordered Temptress 2 :)

What are your favorite lashes?
Will you be giving these a go?

Battle of the gel liners......

If you have watched my YouTube videos for a while, something you will of heard me talking about a terrible lot is a gel liner comparison video.

Well I finally got around to filming it and have it to share with you today.

I had 11 liners in total and I have put them into 1st- 6th place.

It was actually easy to pick out the ones I love from those I hated, I have however found that in several cases there is more than one in each place as they all have different pros and cons.

The liners I mention are.....

Estee Lauder Double Wear
Loreal Gel Intenza
Sleek Ink pot
Elf Cream liner
Mac Fluid line
Clinique Cream Liner
Revlon Colour stay
MUA Gel Liner
Collection Gel liner
Laura Geller Ink Well
Inglot Gel Liner

So what is your favourite gel/cream liner???

Sleek Mirrored Pink.......

I'm a bit of a sucker when it comes to Sleek Blushes, I just love them. They are a great price, beautiful colours and have fantastic pigment.

I saw the latest, a limited edition shade called Mirrored Pink in Superdrug a few weeks ago, and of course I picked it up.

Mirrored Pink is part of the Aqua collection that features a 12 shadow compact and a set of polishes.

It is a pretty bubblegum pink with soft shimmer running through. Like all sleek blushes, it is super pigmented and needs a gentle hand. If you wanted to skip a highlight, with this blush you could do just that as the shimmer is lovely and soft, not at all glittery and adds a lovely sheen to the skin.

Left, straight swatch, on the right blended out

As you can see from the swatches above, it really does catch the light. It is perfect for spring time and adds a lovely flush of colour to the cheeks.

At £4.49 this is a bargain in anybody's book!!
Drugstore wise I really do feel that Sleek make the best.

Sleek is available in selected branches of Superdrug and On line. Sleek also ship internationally which is fab!!!

Has anything from the Aqua collection caught your eye??

Vichy Dermablend Setting Powder.....

I have never really been a fan of loose powders as a rule.
I have used the Elf Hd and Mac Prep & Prime, these two being my favorites so to speak. Neither tho are products that I reach for daily.

Having had some issues with my skin recently (I have PCOS)I have been struggling with breakouts an keeping them covered.

I had heard a few beauty Gurus on YouTube talking about Dermablend, a brand that has high cover concealers and foundations for those needing a fuller cover. I have tried the foundation in the past, and although I liked it, my skin at the time was pretty good and so I sold it in a blog sale.

Knowing how full cover the foundation is I decided that I wanted to have a look at the concealer and loose powder ( LisaLisaD1 loves the powder!!).

I came away with the powder, hoping that as promised by the box it would be my fixer.

I cannot tell you enough how much I love this powder and how fantastic it works.

Its Hypoallergenic and Paraben Free, both fantastic. The powder itself is designed to set the Dermablend foundations and concealers and promises up to 16 hours with a matte and natural result.

The white soft, finely milled powder disappears on the skin, leaving what I would say is almost a satin finish rather than a flat matte look. Its not at all cakey or powdery looking and really does make my makeup last all day.

Since I have been using this I have found that I hardly if at all need to touch up my makeup throughout the day. For the first time ever I am completely sold on a loose powder.

I used it in my recent get ready with me video if you want to see it in action.....

I paid £14.30 for the powder at Boots you can get it in selected stores and online.

Have you ever tried Dermablend??

March Favorites 2013......

Happy Easter everyone!!

I hope that you all had a lovely time with your families.
March is one of my favorite months of the year and I am always sad to see it gone.

That said, this March really hasn't been like most what with all the snow and strange weather that we have had in the UK. Where has Spring gone??

I had some gorgeous beauty favorites this month, I have enjoyed popping a little bit of colour into my daily look.

I have rediscovered some old favorites as well as some new ones.

What have you loved this month?
