I am a massive fan of foundation primers. Having combination skin means that I can end up with my foundation slipping, especially in warmer weather or humid conditions.
My current favorite is the Revlon Photoready Perfecting Primer.
My current favorite is the Revlon Photoready Perfecting Primer.
What I like about this primer and what makes it a little different to others is the texture.
It isnt the usual silicone based primer, it has more of a creamy texture that feels more like applying a dry moisturizer.
I find that the primer leaves my skin with a lovely matte finish, it also makes an imperfections look less obvious. It doesn't cover them by any means just somehow disguises them.
You dont need to leave any time in between applying the primer and your foundation, I always apply mine straight away. I like that there is no dilly dallying around and that I can get on with my makeup routine.
My foundation applies smoothly over the primer, with no dragging or patchiness.
I find that with the primer my foundation really will last all day, no matter how hot or bothered I get. As I have said before, I work in a hair salon and it gets very hot and humid, even in the winter months, with this primer tho, its never a problem.
The primer costs £11.99 from drugstores, a fair price in my opinion. Even tho it is on the higher end of what we would expect to pay for a drugstore primer, it really delivers quality and results of a much more expensive product.
What are your favorite Primers? Have you tried this one? What do you think?

ReplyDeleteSuch a shame it didnt work for you :)) Pleased that you are having better luck and results with the witch range :)
DeleteI've been using the clear Gosh primer for aages now and love it but been thinking about trying something else once it runs out :) x
ReplyDeleteThe Gosh is a totally different texture to the Revlon, it feels more silky as its more of a silicone base :)) If you do try it let me know what you think xxx
DeleteI like the sound of this. I often use the Photoready foundation so the two would probably work well together, and I keep meaning to pick up a primer.
ReplyDeleteI have the same problem with my makeup sliding off in humid conditions, although mostly just my t-zone.

The photoready foundation looks quite dewey over the primer and gives a glow :))
